Organic Repellent Techniques

With increasing reports of the harmful effects DEET, the chemical found in artifically produced mosquito repellent, has on humans, there has been a gradual move to rely on repellents that are devoid of DEET, specifically to repellents that are organic and otherwise are of the kind that have had traditional household purposes prior to their becoming used now more often as mosquito repellents. In fact, according to a study conducted by a chemist team headed by Sen-Sung Cheng of the National Taiwan University, such organic remedies include using cinnamon oil as an effective killer of mosquito hatchlings, which may also act as an effective repellent on fully grown mosquitoes that feed off of humans; other effective oils that have shown to be increasingly used as repellents include citronella oil, lemmon eucalyptus oil, rosemary oil, cedar oil, peppermint oil and clove oil.Garlic oil concentrate will repel mosquitos for up to 4 weeks.
